Cockatoos

Swarms of sulphur crested cockatoos are becoming part of my daily routine.  They have been ground feeding in the early morning light, foraging for bugs and seeds in the grass or more often squawking hello from tree branches.

How exciting--one would be great to see and photograph, but "swarms" of them would be awesome. The only place I can see one is in a pet store--lucky you. Mickie ;)

You are lucky they are visiting you. :)
Great pic.

A huge squadron of them (they are too noisy to be a mere flock) roost in the tree outside my window. We are not friends. x

Never have I seen one or swarms of them in trees in Illinois...probably too cold for them rofl. What a cutie.

Great shot of the sulphur-crested cockatoo! Had to laugh at Bron Maxabella's comment above - you can pick the Aussie can't you? Have to agree that the noise from a flock, swarm or squadron of cockatoos is something to be reckoned with!!
Thanks for continuing to link up with reconnect with nature. xx

They can be a menace in a big flock but this is a very Aussie shot.
