Thankful On Thursday

Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend... when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present -- love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure -- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth. Sarah Ban Breathnach

This week I am thankful for this view that I see every morning from the platform of the commuter train station. If we have to be up at the crack of dawn this is not to bad a vantage point to watch a new day crack open.

Kit & Caboodle

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy

Thank you to everyone who came to today’s big training event. Kit & Caboodle brings the whole lot to everyday folks who can not travel to CKU or other big events. We spoil them for a full day of training in techniques, products and tools while pushing their boundaries into paper crafts they might not tried before. They patiently play along with us to see what creations we can come up with and for trusting us in their exploration, we are thankful.

These goodies were part of the day. Recipe: traditional rice crispy treats as detailed on the side of the cereal box, moulded in icecream scoops and rolled in sprinkles.

Beaute’ – Belle – Beleza

'Since love grows within you, so beauty grows.
For love is the beauty of the soul.'
Saint Augustine

The dictionary explains Beauty as a noun
a combination of all the qualities of a person or
thing that delight the senses and mind.

Sadly too few people feel the beauty within themselves.
Inspired by the new Dove advertisements Ngaire has started
"Beautiful.. like a rainbow” and inviting others to participate

Hope to see lots of folks there in their finest Belle Delux selves.

Nature's Beauty

Everybody needs beauty
as well as bread,
places to play in and pray in
where nature may heal
and cheer
and give strength
to the body and soul.

Creatures

If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.

Sunday Sunrise

It is always sunrise somewhere;
the dew is never dried all at once;
a shower is forever falling;
vapour is ever rising.
Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn
and glowing, on sea and continents and islands,
each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.” John Muir

A sneaky peak of one of the projects for our column
in All The Rage. Can’t wait to share with you all soon

Marvellous Nature ?

In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous. Aristotle

Thanks but sometimes I still wonder why? Why does this water dragon want to live on my back step, tapping on the screen door? Surely my microwaved lean cuisine dinner is not that appetising?
