Kindred Spirits

“Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think. It is splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.” Anne of Green Gables

A lovely quote for Sky Watch Friday where you can find 100’s of bloggers from around the world sharing their view over the horizon. This year marks the centennial of Anne of Green Gables, Happy Birthday Anne.

Thanks for all your kind comments.
I appreciate that the photos are more eye catching if they are bigger and are set to click to enlarge. Most of my friends are on dial up and we have problems with larger photos. If you have any suggestions on how to post big impressive photos that do not take forever to down load, appreciate your advice.

One of the nicest things about blogging is the people you meet. All kinds of different folks from all over doing all kinds of interesting things that best of all they are so kind as to share. It really makes my day when some one is nice enough to nominate me for an award, and doubly so when there are two of them.

Thanks to Shirley of Reflections and Ethal of the Paper Quilter for these two awards.
Now I need to pay it forward by nominating the following

Jill of Bittersweet: Hand made soap and more delights
A Beach Cottage: A new find, this girl should be sponsored by Bunnings & Lincraft for all the home renovation tips she shares
Shabby In the City: Her Flea Market Fridays are a real find and so much more fun than ebay
Shannon of Paint Mine Pink: Prettiest little cupcakes that you can’t eat
Sandi At Whistlestop: Who has the yummiest recipes
A new friend Renae who is a talent scrap artist on the north coast of NSW she hosts a number of challenge blogs with different themes

Anytime we visit their blogs it is sure to be a great day, bet you will like them too.

I guess we have more than sky as a denominator. I too have a beach scene for today's post. Happy skywatching.

Open space, open sky and a silver spread on the sea. Just a tiny smudge of cloud. This is really a great picture for SW. I like it a lot. I made it bigger and then it relly started to talk!
Anne of "Green Gables" is right too! Take care and have a lovely SWF. T.

This shot must be taken from Anne's movie - where her story gets blown all over the beach and that beautiful stranger helps her collect the pages? What a great post. Thanks for the quote too.

I'm loving that beach photo, it looks very much like a West coast beach I love to wander on in the early morning.

First of all thanks for dropping by Thatchwick. I love your photo of blue sky and beach. Makes me long for Cape Town where I grew up.I also attempted a very modest Skywatch pic last week. This morning on my walk with the dogs, I tried to photograph the full moon! Difficult while you are holding two leashes! But my little camera is not quite up to such ambitious tasks. Love the Anne of Green Gables quote. Hail kindred spirits everywhere!
