Living in the moment

“It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, that we will begin to live each day to the fullest; as if it were the only one we had.” Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Just another day here in a tropical paradise, where most every day comes with brilliant sunshine and a warm breeze. Sky Watch Friday is the best fun with people from around the globe posting their view of the sky, sometimes with clouds or rain or birds or sunsets but all interesting in their own way.

Thank you for your kind comments.

This is a technique project page I taught recently using opals embossing to create the letters and celebrating our family heritage. Photos range from 1951 and around the globe with many generations. Always fun to look back and see the same eyes or smile reflected in the generations.

Once upon a time there was this great and fantastic group of people who blogged and photographed … with a click, click here, a snap, snap there, all of them had a week to look upon the sky … day and night, by dusk or dawn, sunrise or sunset … and always there where great and fantastic photos to be seen when SKY WATCH was opened …

I am one of those proud sky watchers and I really enjoy each and every one of the photos you show us. I really think you are a first class sky watcher!

Oh wow! My first time here and that is an excellent shot. Also a great quote - I like Kubler-Ross' stuff. You live in a beautiful part of the world. I really thought that shot was something out of a magazine until I looked at it properly. It is very very pro!

Thank you for your kind comments.

The tree is a Norfolk Island Pine. Yes I should be pointing out it is winter here in the tropics and it does get down to a cool 50F at night in winter {brrrrr}

The coldest of crisp frosty mornings produce the most brilliant sunrises.

Rushing for the 6 am commuter train coincidently is the best time of day to capture sunlight playing games like this and a great reminder to start afresh on that plan of living each moment to its fullest.

That is an amazing shot!
It is so cool to be able to see the world through such talented bloggers as yourself. Makes me truly long to throw caution to the wind, sell everything I own except what I can cram into a backpack and set off about seeing all of Earth's amazing treasures in person.

I was reading your profile and noticed the phrase "postal arts" What is that? Is it stamp collecting or design? Nice profile BTW. Enjoy the Tropics. We are having an early heat wave here. Heat Index was 107 F, yesterday!

hello again. I liked your quote, and have seen it played out. I've known several people who found out they were going to die soon and that's when they really began to live! One of them was my father... but he and the others also truly began to realize just how great heaven was going to be!

Oh what a beautiful sky! I love the quotation, too. Because the sky is always changing, it is the perfect illustration for that quote.
