Thanks

"Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light." Albert Schweitzer

Thanks to my many friends in the internet & everyday world who inspire and support my creativity. Click the links to Sky Watch Friday, my favorite day of the week when 100s of bloggers from all over the world share a peek into what the sky is doing at their place this week.

It has been a bit overcast and blustery around here for the last few weeks with the sky under cover of thick blankets of clouds. But a flurry of activity over on the Tattered Angels web site with their new format, new colours and so much more to be seen.

"You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain to view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. "
Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmastime. “ Laura Ingalls Wilder

Glimmer & Glow

For December Tattered Angels is celebrating all things glass, glimmer, glaze, glam, they all work together so well.
Starting with a quick one a little card using Kutalicious glass bobbles for a Christmas canvas celebrating the beautiful blue and glowing tones of the beach.
Using parts of an acrylic glass album from another great Australian supplier Bella Fynmark I made this little suncatcher. Layers of glimmer glam, glimmer mist, glaze and stamping to create a warm glowing heart.
Earlier this year I picked up this multi photo clock with a plan to change the decorations with the seasons. Here in Australia we are heading into summer which prompted by word for the season – glow.
The Christmas bulbs were created by using the glisten like glass technique on glossy photo paper and came up a treat.  Tattered Angels is hosting a party on their new web site complete with give aways and prizes.

A little bird told me

Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday.
What can be sweeter than simply taking the time to appreciate all that is good in your world. This year and week has provided some wonderful surprises including  one of my creations being featured in a recent Brave Girls newsletter.  The little bird is holding a tag saying expect miracles and kindly supplied by Crafty Secrets.

Happy thanksgiving to family and friends in Plymouth or the USA.  Sky Watch Friday is one of the things I can be grateful for, a reason to keep an eye on the horizon for new things because you never know what good things there are to find. Click the link to see what 100s of bloggers from all over the world have found in their view of the sky this week. This week I found on the Plimoth Plantation web site lots of information about the history of Thanksgiving in America. It is my favorite holiday and in honour of the spirit of the season, I am opening my home to all orphaned pies, 1/2 pies, lonely pie slices are very welcome here.
A simply fabulous give away linked here to Sandy and her now very famous little shabby streamside studio.

Thanks to my friends in Sky Watch Friday who have introduced me to what could be an ordinary pleasure of watching the show that nature puts on in our skies and all the fabulous views they share with us from all over the globe.
Another pleasure this week was finding Scrapbook Ideas Magazine at the newsagents and liking the way our submissions came up.
