New Day

"Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays."  Ralph Waldo Emerson

Looking forward to another Sky Watch Friday with bloggers from all over the world sharing their view of the horizon.  My view today is of big river country tucked under the shade of a huge old tree on a bright summer day.

And every day is a happy day when it includes a little surprise in the mail.
A delightful journal arrived this week from A Bouquet of Dreams where you will find lots of sweet inspiration and and one that I am sending out as a special surprise to celebrate the change of seasons, using Tattered Angels products and lots of glimmer mist.
Cape Cod Rambling Rose is hosting a creative challenge with this cute little image, just know there will be some fabulous things being posted soon.

Wishes & Aspirations

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations” Louisa May Alcott

Lots of rain about this week, I had to dip into some of our recent holiday photos to find a pretty view to share. Sky Watch Friday is 100s of bloggers from all over showing off their own view of the sky.

A little something I am working on for Tattered Angels and to remind us that sometimes wishes really do come true.

Meaningful Days

"A day passes, another day arrives.
The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend or a meaningful day."
Dalai Lama

Sky Watch Friday is the best kind of day full of views of the sky from all over the world.

My card making friends often ask for ideas on how to make nice ‘guy’ cards, aside from the usual browns and cars and golf how can you make some thing masculine.
This is a card I am making for a sweet friend on the theme of journey to love. A combination of Tattered Angels Compass & Timeless Romance screens and stamps on their embossed postcard chip tile and tinted in shades of Waterslide. To make things just a bit more meaningful, the addition of postage stamps from special places or tickets from events is just the perfect touch. Wishing everyone a happy Valentines Day.

Heartfelt Days

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart." Helen Keller

Sky Watch Friday is a blog party like no other with hundreds of views of the sky from all over the world.  Another pretty but plain blue sky kind of day on the beach.

Lately it seems like time and special friends pass by in fleeting flurry, off to another funeral next week and remembering friends lost in the Station Night Club fire. Card created from Tattered Angels nature tile, tinted in green clover with a flirty kiss from Tutti Frutti.

LIght in the heart

“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” Khalil Gibran

Nothing says beaches of northern NSW like Pandanus trees. When I first saw these trees I could not see the beauty in them but now that they are associated with fun filled days on the beach they have a special kind of beauty in a wild and carefree way.

Sky Watch Friday is the same for me, the sky is always there, with lots of different moods that Sky Watch fans from all over find the beauty to share in their photos.

Did you see us on show at the CHA last week? Really enjoying the Tattered Angels range and can't wait to be showing off the newest creations - soon!

Spreading Light

"There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it"  Edith Wharton

Our local beaches were full of sad news this week so we headed inland towards where we used to have a family farm. Have a great weekend and check out Sky Watch Friday for 100s of bloggers view of the sky from all over the place.

Bonne Annee

"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-fruitful path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb." Sir Winston Churchill

Try Sky Watch Friday for lots of views from all parts of the globe, my view is from a long walk along the river on a changeable day. And the bird - that was just pure luck.

And a recent Altered Book page on the theme of recycled Christmas wrapping.

Happy New Year

Is it 20-10 or 2,000-10 for you?
What ever you call it hope it is a good one for everyone. New Year’s is a great time for celebrating all that is good in our world. For me it is a recent publication in Scrapbooking Memories (AU) with this project from the Rapt in Paper range.

Finding great inspiration through Susan’s gang of Tablescapers including Sarah of the Beach Cottage who have helped me rethink table décor. Don’t rush into packing up your holiday decorations, because you might just have another theme reveal itself, as I found here with silver stars for a New Year’s celebration. Recycling can be fun with a little creative thinking.

All these parties reminded me of a few things to add to our bucket list including the Venice’s Carnival season. Finished this little page with lots of glimmer mist for a special touch of pretty. Am really excited to have joined the Tattered Angels design team this year and looking forward to sharing lots of pretty things soon.

Updated to add:

Seeds of the day

Happy New Year and Happy Sky Watch Friday. Click {the text} to follow the link to hundreds of bloggers all over the world sharing a peek into the skies at their place. Changed to new blogger and can't get the link option to work on pictures - can anyone help with a solution?

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant." Robert Louis Stevenson

While out searching for a pretty sunset for New Year's I passed lots of wildlife including this very big kangaroo. He was a big boy possibly 6ft and pretty comfortable watching over the view

including his little family who where just a little bit skittish.

 Have a great weekend.

Happy Holidays

Sky Watch Friday to catch views of the sky from all over the world.

Happy Holidays to my friends from all over, am off to the beach for a couple of weeks for the down under version of a white Christmas.

"You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain to view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. "

Francip P Church of Yes Virginia There is a Santa Claus

There is no Napping on Susan's Porch with lots of holiday themed posts to inspire us to celebrate every day moments.

Sharing a peek at one of this year's specially handmade gifts using lots of glimmer mist and tattered angels chipboard.
