Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle, a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl, the anticipation nurtures our dream.

Seasons

There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature in the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter.

It is early autumn in the southern hemisphere which is not the riotous blaze of color that some folks get to enjoy. This picture was taken at the St Lawrence markets in Toronto on a cold winter’s day. It was delightful to find this little reminder Spring was not too far away.
