Mother Nature

"Keep your face to the sunshine and you can not see the shadows" Helen Keller

Sharing a tropical sunrise photo with everyone for Sky Watch Friday this week. Hundreds of participants posting their view of the horizon makes for interesting viewing.

Mother Nature is a Linda Manning Finley of the Art Sook creation for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Celebrate Life

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate”
Oprah Winfrey

Sky Watch Friday fans like to celebrate the sky in all its different forms. One of my favourites is a morning walks on the beach and watching the sun toss glitter on the water.

Mary Ann of Follow Your Bliss is hosting another ‘Vintage Stocking Swap’. We had the best fun last year meeting other crafters from around the globe, creating the most amazing versions of vintage stockings.

If you would like to join in, you will have to be fast and click here.

MaryAnn's itty bitty ‘Vintage Christmas Book’ club is already filled. Will post some photos of what we are making a bit closer to the season.
To get in the mood, Mandi of Whispering Christmas Dreams is posting a yearly count down blog that is all the more fun when listening to the music out of season.

Cloudy Sky Watch

"I think the world really boils down to two types of people - those who see shapes in cloud formations, and those who just see clouds." Danzae Pace

A good quote to go with Sky Watch Friday, some folks only see the sky but if you are "watching" the sky you see so much more. Check out the 100s of photos linked to Sky Watch Friday.

Good News #1: Jill of Bittersweet Soap has launched Calico Petals a shopfront to share all the lovely vintage patterns she has found. The site is full of all kinds of creative patterns and kits for traditional handkerchief pouches, strawberry sachets, unique designs and ephemera collections.

Something for everyone and when searching for a special gift for someone special, lots of options to consider at Bittersweet.

Good News # 2 Shelagh G of All About Paper is launching a new kit club themed on colours, to celebrate she is hosting a draw for a lucky person to win the premier kit linked here.

A cafe canvas, coming soon at a class in local LSS maybe near you.

Grateful Skies

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow." Melodie Beattie

A crisp morning walk along a local beach turned up this sparking piece of sky. Click here for link to
Sky Watch Friday participants from around the globe.
